AQL 29TM - COOLING TOWER DISPERSANT AND ON-LINE DESCALER
WHEN USED AS AN ON-LINE DESCALER: AQL 29

is specially formulated to prevent the deposition of solids on heat transfer surfaces.  When used as an on-line descaler, it removes scale while the system is on line.  The removal of scale will keep heat transfer surfaces clean and reduce energy costs.

Slowly breaks up and dissolve scale.
Prevents scale formation.
Eliminates having to handle hazardous acid-based products.
Eliminates downtime.
Concentrated for economy.
NOTE: AQL 29 must be maintained in the cooling tower at all times to ensure that a sufficient level of treatment is present to dissolve the existing scale.
AQL 29 is not effective on silica scale.  Scale thicker than ¼ inch should be descaled with an acid type product.  AQL 29 works with the system over a period of months by sequestering deposits and scale.  One-line descaling may take six months or longer for scale removal.

PRODUCT DOSAGE: For on-line descaling, add 1 gallon of AQL 29 per 2,000 gallons cooling tower capacity.  Maintain dosage based on bleed off.  Product dosage may vary up to 1 gallon per
700 gallons of bleed off.

WHEN USED AS A DESCALER: AQL 29 is liquid blend of sodium polyacrylate polymer.  It is effective in all cooling towers, especially systems that collect silt and airborne debris.
The high-molecular weight polymer lifts and suspends mud, silt and iron oxide and allows their removal through normal bleed off.

Disperses silt in water for removal through bleed off.
Formulated with an iron dispersant to help remove rust.
Cleans any wet area in cooling towers, cooling tower fill or condenser tubes.
Eliminates friction on flow surfaces, allowing pumps to work more efficiently.
Helps keep pump suction strainers clean.
Prevents tube plugging and overheated condensers.
Cleans out closed-water loops.  Removes the rust and mill scale that can be carried along with the water and act like an abrasive to pump seals, valves and pipe elbows.

PRODUCT DOSAGE: When used as a cooling tower dispersant, add 1 gallon of AQL 29 for each 6,000 gallons of water in the system. Add 1 gallon of each 6,000  to  12,000 gallons of water lost to bleed off.

METHOD OF FEED: Feed AQL 29 directly into the cooling tower sump or into the return line to the water.

SYSTEM OPEATING PARAMETERS:
Follow the same parameters as outlined for Phosphate treatment programs.

PRODUCT CONTROL PARAMETERS:
Treatment residuals for AQL 29 cannot be tested conveniently.  Feed this product in Proportion to the phosphonate treatment and use phosphonate residuals as the control parameters.
